CPR Definition
CPR, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation is an life saving procedure used in emergencies, which consists of chest compression and artificial respiration. CPR is an emergency procedure for a person who has collapsed with a cardiac arrest and have no pulse and is not breathing.
CPR consists of two procedures which should be done alternatively until the help arrives. These consists of:
- Tilt the head and lift the chin. Give two deep artificial breaths.
- Then position your hands in the center of the chest and firmly push down two inches on the chest for 30 times.
